The Garden Classroom has partnered with three Islington primary schools - Newington Green, St Jude’s & St Paul’s and Hanover - to deliver a high quality, vibrant, culturally rich and sustainable local food project from May 2009 to June 2010.

From growing fruit and vegetables on the school sites themselves to visiting local community gardens and Borough Market, the whole experience for the children will have a local theme and delivery.

After the project is finished each school will continue and commit to the after school gardening clubs. They will also aim to raise funds to deliver gardening and wildlife workshops during curriculum time (as recommended in the Outside the Classroom Learning Manifesto).
