We encourage groups to walk to the garden classrooms as much as possible.

Clothing

Children must be appropriately dressed in comfortable casual clothes that they won't worry about getting a bit dirty.

In winter, we recommend a warm waterproof coat, wellingtons or other appropriate footwear, and a hat and gloves.

In summer, children should have suncream applied before they arrive for the session. Sunhats should be worn, and long trousers are recommended for protection.

Guidance for teachers

You may bring up to 30 children to each session. We try to assess and measure pupils’ learning and it would be very helpful if you would do an initial assessment exercise before the first session and we will do a similar assessment at the end of the last session.
