Countryside Day Visits

TGC runs Countryside Day Visits for schools every March and October at The Quadrangle (Shoreham, Kent) and at Falconhurst Estate (Markbeech, Kent). Both locations are close to train stations that reach London in less than an hour. All Countryside Day Visits include eating delicious local produce and exploring the local countryside through woodland walks and wildlife ID. Children and teachers are able to borrow waterproofs and wellies, and TGC facilitates activities with high quality resources and thorough risk assessments.

Countryside Day Visits at The Quadrangle focus on giving children the opportunity to learn practical outdoor skills including wood chopping, fire lighting and making woodland crafts.

Countryside Day Visits to Falconhurst Estate focus on giving children the opportunity to meet farm animals and learn about how food and herbs grow in a market garden.

To enquire about booking please email Director of Countryside Programmes Millie Darling at millie@thegardenclassroom.org.uk.

Thank you once again TGC for your passion, enthusiasm and commitment to instilling a love of the outdoors and respect for nature in our children.

From the moment we read the letter from the TGC team aloud to the Year 5 class the excitement and buzz about our 'Survival Adventure' was tangible. For most children, this was their first train ride and delighted cries of awe and wonderment.
