Where?
Our countryside day visits are based at The Quadrangle in Shoreham, Kent.
This site features both forest and field, and a historic barn with courtyard. There is a beautiful stream running along the side of the site.
The Quadrangle is easily reached from London by train (under an hour from London terminals to Shoreham Station).

What?
A day in the countryside for Year 3 and Year 4 classes to explore woodlands, meadows, orchards and rivers.
Children do Forest School activities and get a first taste of the magic of the countryside.
Activities include:
- Cooking locally produced food on a campfire
- Exploring the diverse woodlands
- Learning about river conservation in the beautiful Darent Valley
Groups will arrive at Shoreham station at 10:15am and leave after a campfire dinner at 6pm. Children will be home at 7:30-8pm after a fulfilling day!

When?
We are now taking bookings for March 2023.
To book your place please email Countryside Manager Millie Darling at millie@thegardenclassroom.org.uk or phone 07483382763.

Thank you once again TGC for your passion, enthusiasm and commitment to instilling a love of the outdoors and respect for nature in our children.
From the moment we read the letter from the TGC team aloud to the Year 5 class the excitement and buzz about our 'Survival Adventure' was tangible. For most children, this was their first train ride and delighted cries of awe and wonderment.
