Mildmay Festival of Nature
On the 6th & 7th May 2017, The Garden Classroom held Islington’s first nature festival in the Mildmay ward.
We celebrated all that is great about Mildmay’s green spaces with live music, talks and workshops, food & drink and children’s nature activities. We also connected with a collection of London’s nature providers including London Wildlife Trust, Green Wood Workers, and LBI’s Greenspace team.
Outdoor yoga, a tractor visit, tree surgery demonstrations, Morris dancing, and Freightliners Farms animals were some of the activities on offer. Venues included Newington Green, St Jude’s Street Gardens, St Paul’s Shrubbery, King Henry’s Walk Garden, Petherton Road and Mayville Community Centre Garden.
The Garden Classroom would like to thank the brilliant Mary, Teresa and Robert at Mildmay Pensioners for the wonderful festival bunting!
