London’s smallest nature reserve, this is a hidden woodland and wildlife garden. Perfect!
Barnsbury Wood was originally a garden belonging to George Thornhill who built the surrounding houses in the 1840s. The area was eventually abandoned to nature and then became woodland.
Opening times and fees
Barnsbury Wood is open to the public on Tuesdays 2 – 4pm.

This is a locked park so you will need to arrange access.
